Work Experience

  • Dr Fadhil Al Douri worked as a Consultant in Internal Medicine and as a Consultant Endocrinologist in addition to the position of HOD for the Department of Medicine at Sheikh Khalifa, Ajman (Ministry of Health) from 2004 until 2014.
  • While working for the Sheikh Khalifa Hospital, he founded and administered two units (Endocrine and Diabetes) for ten years.
  • He participated in the committee of MOH which has founded the Rashid Center for Diabetes.
  • During his work with the MOH, he became the Senior Member of the MOH board for accrediting qualifications to new incoming specialists and consultants.
  • He developed and maintained new standards of CME as part of the Committee of Ajman Medical Zone and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital. He was also the head of the scientific committee.
  • He was the Clerkship Director for the Gulf Medical University – College of Medicine at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital.
  • Dr Al Douri was also an examiner for the Gulf Medical University – College of Medicine.
  • He was an Acting Member of the UAE Endocrine Club.
  • Dr Al Douri was a Medical Advisor for many pharmaceutical companies in the UAE and Iraq.
  • He was the President of the Iraqi Society of Endocrinology and worked as General Director of the Iraqi Referral Center for Endocrinology and Diabetes.
  • In addition, Dr Al Douri was a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist in Iraq from the year 1976 until 2004.
