Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Amer

Work Experience
Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Amer is an Associate Professor of Surgical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, Egypt. He completed his MBBCh from Cairo University in 2003, followed by an MSc in Surgical Oncology in 2009 and an MD in Surgical Oncology in 2016.
Since 2005, he has been part of the National Cancer Institute, progressing from Resident in Surgical Oncology (2005–2009), to Assistant Lecturer (2009–2016), Lecturer (2016–2026), and currently Associate Professor (2026–Present). His role involves surgical oncology patient care, postgraduate and undergraduate teaching, multidisciplinary cancer care, and clinical research.
Dr. Ahmed has also gained valuable international and Gulf region experience. He served as Assistant Consultant of Surgery at King Abdullah Medical City, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (2015–2016), Senior Specialist in Surgery at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital, Jeddah (2016–2019), and Specialist in Surgical Oncology at Saudi German Hospital, Dubai (2023). He currently practices surgical oncology in the UAE.
His clinical interests include breast and oncoplastic surgery, colorectal oncology, hepatobiliary surgery, gynecological oncology, thyroid tumors, and skin and soft tissue tumors. Dr. Amer is committed to providing comprehensive multidisciplinary cancer care through advanced surgical techniques, with emphasis on early detection, optimal oncological outcomes, and long-term follow-up to enhance patient quality of life.
