The Cardiology Department offers specialized care for the patients who need hospitalization for life threatening situations like heart attack, left ventricular failure and congestive heart failure in the intensive care unit which is well equipped with multi parameters monitoring facilities and ventilators for supporting respiration.

• Noninvasive investigation facilities including resting 12 lead ECG, computerized stress ECG (Tread Mill test) which can
detect overt or covert ischemia of the heart due to
narrowing in the arteries and decrease in the blood supply.
• 24 hours ambulatory blood pressure recording facility to
identify
the BP control with medications and also to distinguish true
hypertensive from white coat hypertension.
• Two-dimensional echocardiography plus a Color Doppler-
imaging facility to evaluate the structural problems of the
heart and their effect on heart function.
• 24 hour ambulatory ECG recording to identify various types of irregularities of heart rhythem.
