 Dr Khushboo Chandra is an ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal diseases and cataract surgery. Her areas of expertise are Complex retinal diseases, Vitreoretinal and cataract surgery. She is trained at the prestigious Smt. Kanuri Santhamma Retina Vitreous Centre, L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India. She completed her post-graduation residency training at Patna Medical college and Hospital, Patna, India

In her 11 years of experience as ophthalmologist, she has performed numerous intraocular surgeries: Retinal detachments (pars plana vitrectomy and scleral buckling), Vitreous haemorrhage, Nucleus and intraocular lens drop, Endophthalmitis, and various macular surgeries including epiretinal membranes, Macular holes and sub macular surgeries  She is also proficient in Intraocular lens implantation surgeries (Glued or scleral fixated IOL) in complicated cataract cases like dislocated or subluxated cataract and intraocular lens. She also manages cataract cases associated with retinal diseases like age related macular degeneration, Post vitrectomy cataract

Apart from her vast surgical experience, She also treats various other retinal diseases like Age related macular degeneration, Retinal vascular diseases, Diabetic retinopathy, Uveitis and Retinopathy of prematurity (a potentially blinding condition in premature new born ).

Throughout her career, she has authored and co-authored several peer-review papers, case reports and presentations in national and international meetings.
She has been involved in various retinal clinical trials involving multiple anti VEGF molecules as principal and sub investigator. Besides, she has also been involved training and teaching duties at various surgical skill transfer courses in India.
