Not only do we employ the latest in medicine and technology, we use the caring touch to give infants in our charge the best care possible.

During Your Stay
LABOR AND BIRTH NURSING CARE
The birth of your baby is a new beginning filled with excitement, wonderment and some times unfamiliarity. This is why our labor team of doctors and nurses work together to provide caring support and guidance through out your labor process. They are committed to making your birthing experience positive and comfortable for you. You may also feel free to share your birthing plans and how best they can assist you and your family to make this one of the most memorable experience of your lifetime ~ your baby’s birth.

MOTHER-BABY NURSING CARE
After the birth of your baby, a nurse will care for both you and your baby together. Your nurse will also be your link to information, education and comfort. If you wish to have your baby beside you most of the time, your nurse will guide you and your family on how to care for the newborn at your bedside. You may also choose to have your baby cared for in the Nursery.

EDUCATION DURING YOUR STAY
Since these first few days are a time of learning for new parents, education is the main focus of Zulekha Hospital. Your nurse will be available to provide one-to-one demonstration and guidance opportunities for you. We also encourage you to ask any questions that you might have regarding care for you or your baby.

VISITING HOURS
After you have had a chance to rest, you will probably be eager to have visitors. Children accompanied by adults are also welcome to visit. Father, brothers and sisters, grandparents, and labor support person are welcome at any time. Importantly, father/support person may choose to spend the night, if they wish.

THE NEWBORN INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (NICU)
Zulekha Hospital is proud to be able to offer world-class neonatal care right here in UAE. At Zulekha Group, parents can visit more frequently and stay closer to their child. This opportunity to participate in the care of their infant not only helps with the bonding process, but also gives parents a greater sense of control over the care of their infant. Outstanding and highly committed experts trained in specialized infant care are available 24 hours, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year to treat babies requiring care in our NICU. These Neonatologists work closely with your baby’s doctor, supported by Paediatric specialists in Cardiology and Gastroenterology, and also referral specialists if needed. Our NICU interdisciplinary team includes Neonatologists; Neonatal Nurses, Dieticians and Pharmacists. We also have a transport team at the ready that facilitates speedy transfer to higher level of intensive care, if needed.

INFERTILITY SPECIALTY CARE
We acknowledge that the road to successful pregnancy could be challenging for some. For such patients, access to specialized care might be one of the obstacles to achieving pregnancy and starting a family. With this in mind, Zulekha Hospital offers the service of internationally acclaimed reproductive specialist Dr. Firuza Parikh to provide on-site consultations for couples faced with infertility.
